Taste of Talent Vocal Competition

Wednesdays • June 29-July 27
7 PM • Bandstand Park
Finals: August 6 @ 7 PM • August 7 @ 4 PM

The Franklin Fine Arts Council will sponsor the 7th Annual Taste of Talent Vocal Competition this summer at Bandstand Park in Downtown Franklin. The competition is open to individual soloists ages 16 & up.

Registration packets may be submitted through the beginning of May. Competitions will be held on Wednesdays, June 29; July 6, 13, 20 & 27 at 7 PM. Semi – Finals will take place on Saturday, August 6 at 7 PM and the finals will be held Sunday, August 7 at 4 PM immediately following Taste of Franklin. The winner of the competition will receive $1,000 sponsored by Lamb & Webster. Prize monies totaling $200 ($100 cash and $100 in Franklin Retail Gift Certificate) will be awarded to the 3 semi-finalists. The Taste of Talent competition has been a huge success with audiences of 800 to 1400. Competitors are quite popular and in demand in performing venues.

FUTURE TASTE OF TALENT CONTESTANTS: Are you hoping to try-out for Taste of Talent (TOT) Vocal Competition when you turn 16? Here’s a possible opportunity for you to perform onstage during the 2016 contest in Franklin. Submit a cd or video of a performance and you could be chosen to perform a song while ballots are being tallied. Send your audition material along with a little information about yourself to Franklin City Hall, c/o Ronnie Beith, Events & Marketing Coordinator, 430 13th Street, Franklin, PA 16323.
