Special events are Franklin’s signature. We host 9 Festivals each year. We are proud of our Barrow-Civic Theatre and not a bad seat in the house. We are home to DeBence Antique Music World, a unique museum of over 100 antique mechanical instruments and calliopes. St. John’s Episcopal Church provides tours of its collection of 30 brilliant, authentic Tiffany stained glass windows completed in 1917 (only 6 other churches survive today with a complete collection). Multiple Outdoor Concerts are held, weekly, during the summer months and often feature the Silver Cornet Band, one of the oldest volunteer bands in the country. Dan Hardesty houses the Wild West Museum, a rare collection, in the Franklin Antique Mall. Franklin has unique gift shops and is a dining destination (Franklin is for Foodies!). A Self-Guided Walking Tour of Historic Downtown Franklin is available to visitors. All of this happens Downtown on Liberty Street, which was voted one of the 10 Great Streets of America in 2010.
We are a Bicycle Friendly Community with miles and miles of great trails. We host many visitors each year who love our trails and waterways.
We invite you to experience our friendly town. Please contact me for information packets and assistance.
