• Freedom From Smoking: FREE Smoking cessation classes run by the American Lung Association; register at the front desk or email sconn@grovecityymca.org; no YMCA membership necessary; classes held at the Franklin Y for 8 weeks; eight people are needed to run this class.

• Adult Swim Clinic: 18 years and older. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 6-7 AM; $20 per month for members and $40 per month for nonmembers.

• Teen Fitness Orientation Class: Free for Youth members ages 12 and 13; two orientations are needed in order to work out independently in the Fitness Center; registration open at teen's convenience . • Child Watch for children 3 months to 7 years old: MON-FRI: 9 AM-12:30 PM• MON-THU: 5-8 PM Free for members, $2 per hour per child for nonmembers while they use the Y facility.

• Diabetes Prevention Program, led by a trained lifestyle coach: Group support and motivation; 25 educational sessions held over the course of the year.

• Personal Training: Individual assessments used to design customized fitness workouts with a certified personal trainer. AM or PM hours available to work around your schedule. One-hour sessions or packages are available.

• *RIPPED: 9:30-10:30 AM on the 1st & 3rd Saturday

• *POUND Fit: 9:30-10:30 AM on the 2nd & 4th Saturday.

• *Pilates/Yoga mat class: NEW CLASS Mondays @ 9:40 AM. A combination of Pilates and yoga moves with a little Tai Chi included.

• *Versa Fit: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:15-6:45 AM. A cross training class with higher intensity plyometrics and cardio training; work at own pace.

• *Cardio Circuit: Fridays, 8:45-9:30 AM; beginner class focuses on coordination, balance, and cardio/muscle fitness.

• W.A.V.E. Remix: Aquatic Cardio and strength workout in the big pool; no swimming ability necessary; Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 8:30 AM.

• SilverSneakers Splash: Shallow water class focuses on endurance, agility and coordination; no swimming ability necessary; Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:30 PM.

• TaiChi: This Arthritis Foundation class focuses on breathing, balance, and flexibility; Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:30 AM.

• Piloga: NEW CLASS Mondays at 9:40 AM; combination of Pilates and Yoga with a little Tai Chi included.

  • YMCA Group Exercise classes are monthly and free with your membership. Non-members pay $5.00 per class or $53.00 a month which includes all Group Exercise classes.
